How a coaching relationship unfolds

An honest first conversation

We spend forty minutes together — no intake forms, no jargon. You share what brought you here, and I listen for the patterns beneath the words. This call is free and carries no obligation. Think of it as testing the water before you decide to swim.

Mapping your inner landscape

Using reflective exercises, guided journaling, and gentle somatic check-ins, we build a picture of where your energy flows freely and where it stalls. This map becomes the foundation for every session that follows, ensuring our work stays grounded in your reality rather than abstract theory.

Focused sessions, your rhythm

Sessions run sixty or ninety minutes, scheduled weekly or bi-weekly depending on what your life can absorb. Each one combines dialogue, breathwork, and practical assignments designed to create movement between meetings. Progress is measured by what you feel, not what you perform.

Integration and release

As patterns shift, we revisit your map and celebrate what has changed. Some clients complete their work in three months; others stay for a year. There is no correct timeline. When you are ready to walk forward alone, we close the container together with intention and gratitude.

What we can explore together

Hands holding a smooth stone during meditative practice

One-on-one deep-dive sessions

Sixty- or ninety-minute sessions held over video or in person at our Montréal studio. We work with whatever is alive for you — grief, career crossroads, relationship patterns, creative blocks, or a nameless restlessness that won't quiet down. Every session is recorded so you can revisit insights later.

Small group seated in a sunlit loft for a guided circle

Seasonal group circles

Four times a year, aligned with the equinoxes and solstices, I host a small cohort of eight people for a six-week journey. Each circle has a theme — letting go, planting seeds, harvesting wisdom, resting deep. The group dynamic adds a mirror that solo work cannot replicate, and the friendships formed often outlast the programme.

Guided inner-writing programme

A self-paced, twelve-week course delivered by email. Each week you receive a reflective prompt, a short audio meditation, and a writing exercise designed to surface subconscious material. I review your submissions and send personal voice-note feedback within forty-eight hours. Ideal for anyone who processes better through words than conversation.

The person behind the practice

My name is Elara, and I have been practising spiritual coaching from Montréal since 2018. Before that I spent a decade in social work, which taught me that transformation rarely arrives through willpower alone — it comes through honest relationship, safe space, and the courage to look at what we have been avoiding.

I trained in transpersonal psychology, somatic experiencing, and contemplative traditions from both Western and Eastern lineages. I hold certifications from the International Coach Federation and the Spiritual Directors International network. But credentials only take you so far; what I bring most is a willingness to sit with you in the uncomfortable places without rushing toward a fix.

Outside sessions, you will find me walking Mount Royal with my dog, reading poetry by Mary Oliver, or fermenting something questionable in my kitchen. I believe that a spiritual life is not separate from an ordinary life — it is the ordinary life, seen clearly.

Questions people actually ask

Not at all. My coaching is non-denominational and welcomes people of every faith — and no faith. We draw from whatever framework resonates with you, whether that is Buddhist mindfulness, Christian contemplation, secular philosophy, or something entirely personal. The only requirement is a willingness to be honest with yourself.

Therapy typically focuses on diagnosing and treating mental health conditions within a clinical framework. Spiritual coaching is not clinical — it is a collaborative, forward-looking partnership centred on meaning, purpose, and alignment. If you are dealing with acute mental health challenges, I will always recommend working with a licensed therapist alongside, or instead of, coaching.

We begin with a brief grounding practice — usually three minutes of breathwork — then move into open dialogue. I ask questions, reflect patterns, and sometimes offer somatic exercises or guided visualisations. The last ten minutes are devoted to naming one concrete action you will take before our next meeting. Sessions happen over Zoom or in person at my Montréal studio.

A sixty-minute session is $145 CAD; ninety minutes is $195 CAD. Group circles are $480 CAD for the full six-week season. I offer a sliding scale for anyone facing financial hardship — just ask. Payment is accepted via e-transfer, credit card, or PayPal, and invoices are sent automatically after each session.

Absolutely. About forty percent of my clients are international. All virtual sessions run on Zoom, and I accommodate time zones across the Americas, Europe, and parts of Asia. The guided inner-writing programme is fully asynchronous, so time zones are never an issue for that offering.
